Suspect arrested in Kuala Lumpur over Ipoh murder investigation

IPOH: Police have apprehended a suspect linked to the murder of a man whose body was discovered in a Jalan Horley alley yesterday.

Authorities arrested the 32-year-old man at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan in Kuala Lumpur around 10 pm yesterday based on intelligence leads.

“The suspect has three previous criminal records and two mobile phones were also seized during the arrest,” Ipoh district police chief ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad stated today.

Investigators additionally confiscated two keys and a white lorry from Taman Idaman Square as part of their evidence gathering.

Abang Zainal Abidin confirmed that the murder motive remains under investigation with a remand application being filed today.

Police had previously identified both a suspect and the owner of a bonded lorry connected to the case during their initial investigation yesterday. – Bernama
