Invit\u00e9 d\u2019honneur de cette nouvelle \u00e9dition, l\u2019Orchestre national de Lille, qui f\u00eate cette ann\u00e9e son cinquanti\u00e8me anniversaire, \u00e9tait dirig\u00e9 par le jeune chef am\u00e9ricain Joshua Weilerstein.<\/p>\n<p>Le programme, se centrait en premi\u00e8re partie autour du tr\u00e8s lyrique <i>Concerto pour violon <\/i>de l\u2019Am\u00e9ricain Samuel Barber, enflamm\u00e9 par Renaud Capu\u00e7on et de la d\u00e9couverte de la compositrice fran\u00e7aise Elsa Barraine et de sa <i>Symphonie n\u00b0 2 Vo\u00efna<\/i> (la Guerre en russe) compos\u00e9e en 1938.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"intext\"> Architecture transparente\n              <\/div>\n<div class=\"paragraph\">\n<p>La deuxi\u00e8me partie offrait une premi\u00e8re symphonie Johannes Brahms tout en clart\u00e9. On ne cesse, fort heureusement, de remettre nombre de compositrices \u00e0 leur juste place dans les histoires de la musique, d\u00e9cid\u00e9ment bien masculines. Elsa Barraine (1910-1999), engag\u00e9e au Parti communiste, fut une r\u00e9sistante au nazisme. Sa deuxi\u00e8me symphonie, compos\u00e9e en r\u00e9action aux accords de Munich, est une \u0153uvre dense et ramass\u00e9e, color\u00e9e et vigoureuse.<\/p>\n<p>Le concerto de Barber, jug\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0<i>injouable<\/i>\u00a0\u00bb par son commanditaire -le fils violoniste d\u2019un marchand de savon- semble un jeu d\u2019enfant, sous l\u2019archet br\u00fblant de Renaud Capu\u00e7on. Le presto final est harassant de difficult\u00e9s techniques et rythmiques, avec son \u00ab\u00a0<i>perpetuum mobile<\/i>\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 couper le souffle. Renaud Capu\u00e7on, lui aussi s\u00e9millant quinqua, prouve, si cela \u00e9tait encore n\u00e9cessaire, qu\u2019il est d\u00e9finitivement un immense interpr\u00e8te, sensible et fougueux. Joshua Weilerstein, aujourd\u2019hui directeur artistique de l\u2019Orchestre de chambre de Lausanne, relit la premi\u00e8re symphonie de Brahms \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re viennoise, tout en architecture transparente et en tempi all\u00e8gres.
