Comme l\u2019original, la r\u00e9plique de la Nao Santa Maria arbore trois m\u00e2ts\u00a0: le grand m\u00e2t, l\u2019artimon de la grand-voile et un beaupr\u00e9, la hauteur du grand m\u00e2t atteignant pr\u00e8s de 25 m\u00e8tres de la ligne de flottaison au point le plus haut. 5 voiles, d\u2019une surface de 303 m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s, permettent au navire de voguer. M\u00eame si, aujourd\u2019hui, besoins modernes de la navigation oblige, la Nao Santa Maria est \u00e9quip\u00e9e de moteurs, d\u2019une radio, d\u2019un radar&#8230; Construite dans les chantiers navals Varaderos Palm\u00e1s \u00e0 Punta Umbr\u00eda (Huelva, Espagne), la r\u00e9plique de la Nao Santa Maria a navigu\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois le 16\u00a0mars 2018. Du mercredi 25\u00a0f\u00e9vrier au dimanche 1<sup>er<\/sup>\u00a0mars, elle fait escale sur le quai d\u2019accueil de La Ciotat.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"intext\"> Cinq jours \u00e0 quai\n              <\/div>\n<div class=\"paragraph\">\n<p>\u00c0 bord, l\u2019\u00e9quipage, d\u2019une vingtaine d\u2019hommes, est pr\u00eat \u00e0 accueillir le public, de 10h \u00e0 19h, pour la visite. Les visiteurs pourront d\u00e9couvrir les 4 ponts de la caravelle, \u00eatre renseign\u00e9s sur son histoire, s\u2019immerger dans des d\u00e9cors fid\u00e8les \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque, et \u00e9changer avec les marins.<\/p>\n<p>Le 3\u00a0ao\u00fbt 1492, la Nao Santa Maria est partie du port de Palos de la Frontera (Huelva) avec les caravelles Pinta et Ni\u00f1a, en tant que navire de t\u00eate de la flotte de Christophe Colomb. Apr\u00e8s avoir fait escale sur l\u2019\u00eele de La Gomera (\u00eeles Canaries) et apr\u00e8s trente-trois jours de navigation, le 12\u00a0octobre 1492, la Santa Mar\u00eda, dirig\u00e9e par 40\u00a0hommes sous les ordres de Christophe Colomb, atteint l\u2019Am\u00e9rique.
