Das kongolesische Gesundheitsministerium hatte am Samstag von 204 Todesf\u00e4llen bei insgesamt 867 Verdachtsf\u00e4llen gesprochen.<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"heading-2 mb-3 pt-2 lg:pt-1 xl:pt-2.5\">Ausbruch erstmals am 15. Mai gemeldet<\/h2>\n<div class=\"mb-5 xl:mb-[15px]\">Der Ebola-Ausbruch war am 15. Mai in der von bewaffneten Konflikten betroffenen kongolesischen Provinz Ituri gemeldet worden. Die Sterblichkeitsrate bei dieser Ebola-Variante liegt bei etwa 30 bis 50 Prozent.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mb-5 xl:mb-[15px]\">Die WHO hat wegen der Epidemie eine \u201egesundheitliche Notlage von internationaler Tragweite\u201c ausgerufen \u2013 ihre zweith\u00f6chste Alarmstufe. Die Gesundheitsbeh\u00f6rde der Afrikanischen Union (Africa CDC) rief wegen des \u201ehohen Risikos einer regionalen Ausbreitung\u201c f\u00fcr den gesamten Kontinent den Notstand aus. Auch aus Uganda wurden bereits Infektionsf\u00e4lle gemeldet.
