Sein ber\u00fchmtes Telefonat mit Alexander Graham Bell j\u00e4hrt sich am Freitag zum 150. Mal. Das erste Ferngespr\u00e4ch \u00fcber eine Telegrafenleitung fand am 9. Oktober 1876 statt.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mb-5 xl:mb-[15px]\">Bell sa\u00df in seinem Labor in Boston (US-Staat Massachusetts), sein Assistent Watson rund zwei Meilen entfernt in Cambridge. Als er das Ger\u00e4t anschloss, blieb es zun\u00e4chst still. Watson schrieb, sie h\u00e4tten aus Freude \u00fcber die gegl\u00fcckte Verbindung bis weit nach Mitternacht weitergeredet.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mb-5 xl:mb-[15px]\">Am n\u00e4chsten Morgen habe die Vermieterin in Boston weniger n\u00e4chtlichen L\u00e4rm verlangt \u2013 mit der Drohung, dass sie das Labor sonst r\u00e4umen m\u00fcssten.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mb-5 xl:mb-[15px]\">Watson zufolge verbreitete sich der Ruf des Telefons rasch bis ins Ausland: Viele Neugierige pilgerten auf den Dachboden des billigen Wohnhauses, in dem Bell sein Labor hatte.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mb-5 xl:mb-[15px]\">Die Liste der Wissenschaftler, die das Telefon dort sehen wollten, lese sich wie das Mitgliederverzeichnis der \u201eAmerican Association for the Advancement of Science\u201c, witzelte er.
